These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Kashi Boat Rides website and mobile app (together, the "Platform"), operated for booking boat rides and river tourism experiences on the Ganga in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. By booking a ride or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the service

Kashi Boat Rides is a river tourism and travel booking platform. We help customers discover and book boat rides — sunrise rows, sightseeing tours, Ganga Aarti viewings, and private charters — with licensed boatmen operating on the Ganga at Varanasi. We do not manufacture, sell, or repair boats; we operate a booking service connecting customers with ride providers.

2. Booking & payment

• Bookings can be made instantly ("Ride Now") for same-day rides, or scheduled up to 15 days in advance.
• Unless stated otherwise at checkout, the ride fare is payable in cash directly to your boatman at the time of your ride.
• Special event bookings (such as Dev Diwali) may require an advance payment via UPI to confirm your seat, with the balance payable to the boatman on the day — this will always be clearly shown before you confirm.
• A ride is confirmed only once you receive a booking reference and OTP. Please keep these safe until your ride is complete.

3. Cancellations & refunds

Our full cancellation and refund terms are set out separately in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Your responsibilities

• Arrive on time at your chosen pickup ghat. Late arrival may result in a delayed or missed ride.
• Wear the life jacket provided for the full duration of your ride.
• Follow your boatman's safety instructions at all times.
• Provide accurate contact details (name and phone number) at the time of booking, as these are used to verify your identity via OTP.

5. Safety

Life jackets are provided on every ride. Boats are operated by boatmen familiar with local river conditions. Rides may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled by us in the interest of passenger safety — for example, during high water flow in the monsoon season — in which case you will be offered a full refund or reschedule where an advance payment was made.

6. Limitation of liability

Kashi Boat Rides facilitates bookings between customers and independent boatmen. While we take reasonable care in onboarding boatmen and require life jackets on every ride, travel on open water carries inherent risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kashi Boat Rides' liability for any claim arising from a ride is limited to the amount paid for that specific booking.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the Platform will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
