• To process bookings, send OTPs, and confirm your ride.
• To send booking-related notifications (e.g., "your boatman has accepted the ride").
• To improve our service — for example, understanding which boats or ghats are most popular.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who we share information with

• Your assigned boatman — receives your name, phone number, pickup ghat, and passenger count so they can carry out your ride.
• Payment processors — where an online advance payment is collected (e.g., for special event bookings), payment details are handled by our payment gateway partner and are not stored on our servers.
• Service providers — such as our hosting and SMS/notification providers, solely to operate the Platform.
• We do not share your information with advertisers.

4. Data retention

We retain booking records for as long as necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable tax and legal record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your choices

• You can update your name and contact details from within the app.
• You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by contacting us (see our Contact Us page).
• You can disable push notifications at any time from your browser or device settings.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including password hashing and OTP verification — to protect your account. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

8. Children's privacy

Our service is intended for users capable of entering into a booking agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without a parent or guardian present as the booking account holder.
